Then you will create an assignment that requires students to demonstrate a mastery of that kind of history and how it differs from other kinds of history.
First: Choose what sort of history on which you’d like to focus.
Second: Decide on three skills your assignment will assess.
Third: Decide on the type of assignment you want to create (there are lots of interesting varieties of assignments, so do a bit of research and see what appeals to you! Also, consider for the type of history you’re focusing on what might be the best type of assignment—written, oral, presentation, creative, and so forth.)
Fourth: Develop a short grading rubric that demonstrates how you will assess the skills you chose in the second step.
